Avenue941

Avenue941 is an academically-focused, spiritually-driven after school program for K-12 students. We exist to empower churches to open their doors throughout the week to support the next generation by achieving academic progress, building confidence, growing spiritually and improving behavior. We have 8 locations throughout Manatee County and are constantly adding more to impact students throughout our city.

Our Why: There are ten elementary schools in Manatee County at below a 30% proficiency.
Every third grade class in Manatee County has about a 50% proficiency rate on their end of grade reading test and has over 450 projected dropouts, costing the state nearly $11.5 million every year.
BUT Students with a mentor or tutor are 90% more likely to be successful than those without one.
