A Fishing Tour with a Local Touch

Pete’s connection to the local area runs deep. He’s been vacationing here since the 1970s and has fond memories of buying shrimp from Annie’s Bait & Tackle, renting a pole, and heading out to fish somewhere on Gulf Drive. His parents moved to the area in 1984 and bought a boat, enabling him to spend a lot of time fishing with his dad during visits. In 2016 he moved here to be close to his parents.

Pete had been on the water in some sort of craft since the age of 11 and began operating power boats when he was just 15. In 1994, he bought his own boat and started taking friends on fishing trips, showing them where and how to catch fish. With some encouragement from friends, he decided to get his U.S. Coast Guard Captain’s License and begin offering professional tours.

Captain Pete’s long history on these waters means he not only knows where to find the best fish, but also the best views, the most tranquil spots, and the unique stories that bring the area to life. By the end of the tour, you’ll have made some great memories and will also have a new appreciation for the area’s waters and vibrant history.
