The weather in Bradenton has finally cooled down and it’s time to get outside and celebrate! There are tons of cool things to do here this month – from the annual Festival of the Skeletons in the Village of the Arts to a number of craft festivals and other opportunities to #ShopLocal.

1. Cat’s Meow Shop for a Cause

The Cat’s Meow: A Vintage Marketplace will be hosting a special event to support Freedom Drivers 4 Veterans. During the “Shop for a Cause” event, 10% of all sales proceeds will go directly to this wonderful organization, which gives back to Veterans all throughout Florida.
They will also be selling raffle tickets for a drawing on 11/11 to win two tickets to the Bradenton Blues Festival, which will be held on Dec 4 and 5.
2. Empty Bowls

Thursday, November 4th from 11 am to 1 pm
Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee is proudly celebrating the 21st Anniversary of their annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser. During this event, held at the Manatee Performing Arts Center, you’ll have the opportunity to select a beautiful, handcrafted bowl to keep and enjoy soup donated by local restaurants.

3. Manatee Chamber Expo

Thursday, November 4th from 4 pm to 7:30 pm
Join the Manatee Chamber of Commerce for a fantastic networking event at LECOM Park. There will be complimentary lite bites from area restaurants, entertainment, a Door Prize Depot, a Grand Prize, and the opportunity to make valuable connections & learn more about local businesses so we can all “shop local.”

4. November Artwalk: Festival of the Skeletons

Friday, November 5th from 6 pm to 9:30 pm and Saturday, November 6th from 11 am to 4 pm
Come and experience the largest and most popular annual event held in Bradenton’s Village of the Arts. During the Festival of the Skeletons, you’ll have a chance to explore the Village’s galleries, shops, and restaurants while listening to live music, and enjoying tasty treats.
You’ll also find lots of cool street art, demonstrations, outdoor vendors, revelers in costume, and more! This is an event you definitely won’t want to miss.
5. Red Elvis Dias de los Muertos Celebration

Friends of Manatee County Animal Service (FOMCAS) will be celebrating its 5th year anniversary with a “Friendsgiving Dessert and Wine Auction.” FOMCAS is a non-profit organization that is on a mission to improve the lives of the Manatee County shelter animals.
