Downtown Bradenton’s Kava Social Club is officially open for business and they have a TON of exciting things going on!
Last time we caught up with owners Ryan Bodie and Sara Lewis, construction was just beginning and they were making big plans for the space (you can read the original article here). Now they have a cozy indoor lounge and a giant outdoor tiki area that’s set up for games, live music, and more.
The 3,000 square-foot space offers visitors plenty of room to have a blast while still staying socially distant. It seems there’s also never a dull moment here. There’s something going on almost every night, including:
- Trivia every Tuesday night
- Karaoke every Wednesday night
- LED Flow Party every Friday night
- Game Night every Saturday
They’ll have cool prize giveaways during Trivia and Game Nights and everyone who sings Karaoke on Wednesdays will get a free kava shell.
During the Friday night LED flow parties, you’ll enjoy live music by local DJs, food by Oscura Cafe, and tons of LED flow artists doing their thing. Check out this awesome recap video to see what you’ve been missing.
For their one-month anniversary party, Kava Social Club hosted steel drum player Nax Steel. They have a ton of other cool events in the works, so keep an eye on Kava Social Club’s Facebook page so you don’t miss anything!
While you’re visiting, make sure you leave some artwork on their chalkboard wall. If they take a photo of your art and post it on their Facebook page, you’ll win a free kava shell!
Starting in July, you can also enjoy expanded menu options and even later hours. Every weekend, Kava Social Club is now open until 4 am so you can stop by for a delicious Kava or Kratom cocktail and then stay and play all night!
If you’re feeling adventurous, we suggest trying one of their new kava flights so you can try different varieties from around the world. They also offer CBD-infused kava and kratom and a plethora of baked goods. Most are vegan and gluten-free and many are kava-infused. Living Vitalitea Kombucha and Oscura Cafe Cold Brew coffee are also now on tap.
You can order food from Oscura Cafe and The Daily Dose Juice Garden right from the bar and they’ll deliver it to your seat. On busy nights, you’re also likely to find a food truck on-location.
Before you leave, don’t forget to pick up some of their cool swag! They have shirts, hats, and powder-coated growlers. These items are super popular and have already sold out once, so if you see something you like, don’t wait!
Kava Social Club is located right next to Oscura Cafe at 540 13th St W, Bradenton, FL 34205. They’re open Monday through Thursday from 4 pm to midnight, Friday and Saturday from 4 pm until 4 am, and Sunday from 4 pm to 10 pm.
