1. Beach Market at Coquina Beach

The Beach Market at Coquina Beach is back for its 2020-2021 season and we couldn’t be more excited! You’ll find local artists and craft makers as well as tons of vendors selling jewelry, fresh produce, baked goods, gourmet foods, herbs and teas, local honey, plants, apparel, pottery, purses, collectibles, photography, woodworking items, health and beauty items, unique gifts and more!
This is a great way to enjoy the beautiful white sand beach while supporting our local businesses! While you’re there, you can also stop by the Coquina Café to grab a bite to eat and a refreshing drink on the deck overlooking the Gulf. The talented AMI String band strolls the market each Sunday from 10:00 am until 2:30 pm.

2. Saturday Evening Zipline

4. Festival of the Skeletons

One of the most exciting events in Bradenton’s Village of the Arts, the annual Festival of the Skeletons is celebrating it’s 16th year! You never know what you’re going to find here — live art, live music, food trucks, costumed spectators, and more! You can follow the event on Facebook for updates on what’s happening at the galleries, studios, and businesses throughout the Village of the Arts.

The Taste of Mixon’s is a free fun event with lots of delicious food. Mixon’s Fruit Farm is bringing in vendors from all over to provide delicious goodies for everyone to sample.
You’ll pick up your passport when you enter the store, then gather stamps at each station when you sample various items. Some of the things you might be able to taste include cookies, cheese, kettle korn, wine, fudge, ice cream, and more!

This is one of our favorite annual fundraisers! Come down to the Manatee Performing Arts Center and show your support for Meals on Wheels PLUS / The Food Bank of Manatee.
Due to the impact of COVID-19, this year’s luncheon will be a drive-through event. You’ll purchase your ticket online, choose your ceramic bowl and soup, and receive your meal with limited contact. Tickets are $20 ahead of time and $25 on the day of the event. In addition to your bowl and soup, you’ll also receive bread, water, and a sweet treat. We’re so fortunate to have a SPECTACULAR choreographed light display right in our backyard! The lights will come on Thanksgiving night and each night until January 11th.
The display hours are Sunday through Thursday from 7 pm to 10 pm and Friday and Saturday from 7 pm until 11 pm. According to the owner, the best viewing spot is from Buffalo Creek Rd. To hear the music, you’ll want to tune your car radio to 96.1. This preview of their Halloween show will give you an idea of what you can expect.

This Local Holiday Shoppe Crawl features 9 local retail businesses: The Bungalow, REinspired Boutique, The Blue Flamingo, The Cat’s Meow, The Market Boutique & Events (Formerly Maker’s Market), the Original Sand Dollar, The Lace Buckle Boutique, American Traditions, and Once Upon a Room.
During the 10-day period from 11/27 to 10/6, each participating retailer will have special promotions throughout the event and will stamp your card when you visit (no purchase necessary). When you get all 9 stamps, fill out your contact info and leave the card with the last location you visit. At the end of the event, they’ll do a drawing for a cool prize donated by the retailers!
