“Flamingo” Acrylic Painting Workshop with Debra Goode
What is it about the quirky bird with pink feathers that makes us all smile!
This fabulous flamingo is an acrylic painting done on a 12 x 16 inch wood panel. All supplies are included. You just need to bring your creativity and your excited anticipation to have a grand day of acrylic painting.
There are a lot of feathers to paint so this class will move at a bit quicker pace. It is the same step-by-step teaching format as my pervious workshops just a bit faster paced.
You will learn how shadow and light play a huge role in the layering of the feathers. Some feathers are in focus, while others are not. I’ll show you how to achieve that look as well. Depending upon your skill level, you may or may not finish this painting in class. As I said, there are a lot of feathers! Some students will want to finish at home at their own pace and that is perfectly fine.
I provide my contact information for all my students and you may reach out for questions anytime. I can even send a video of a technique, if you need a refresher. You will receive a photo of my painting as a take home reference.
The Carriage House Studio provides beverages, bottled water, and snack bars, but you will need to bring a a sack lunch for the noon break.
