BRADENTON FARMERS’ MARKET RETURNS! We are delighted to announce the return of the Bradenton Farmers’ Market to Old Main Street for the 2020-21 season beginning on Saturday, October 3. The market continues on Saturdays, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. through the end of May 2021. We are proceeding with care. The safety of customers, vendors, volunteers, and staff remains our first priority. Many precautions will be in place to welcome people back to the market. • To ensure social distancing, and provide a little more ‘room to roam,’ the space between vendors has been increased, and the footprint of the market has been expanded to include portions of Third Avenue West and Fourth Avenue West. Following federal, state, and local ordinances, facemasks or face coverings are highly encouraged to be worn by customers. Staff, volunteers, and vendors will be required to wear masks at all times, except when eating and drinking. Your favorite musicians will return to the market and will perform from behind an acrylic protector to ensure safe interactions. At this time, market special events and activities such as Chef at the Market, Kids in the Kitchen, and Halloween Pet Parade, have been suspended through the end of 2020, and will be re-evaluated as new information becomes available. You will see the return of many of your favorite vendors and some new vendors selling locally grown fruits and vegetables, artisan food products, and handmade crafts. Local businesses and vendors have struggled throughout the interruption in business due to COVID-19. Please shop often, and shop LOCAL!
