Free Colorectal Cancer Screening Event

In observance of National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month in March, We Care Manatee, Inc. is partnering with Manatee Memorial Hospital to present a Free Colorectal Cancer Screening Event on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. The event will be held in the Main Lobby of Manatee Memorial Hospital.

Anyone over the age of 45 is qualified to receive a FREE colorectal cancer screening kit to use in the privacy of their own home. The specimen must be returned to MMH by March 31^st to complete the screening. There will be no cost to the patient.

Local colorectal surgeons, oncologists, gastroenterologists, primary care physicians, and their staff will be on-site to discuss colorectal cancers and other care needs.  Community organizations such as We Care Manatee, Inc. will also be on-site to provide information on free and reduced-cost options for those patients without insurance.
