Keep Your Finger On The Pulse |

Flash Fiction, Micro Fiction, and Sudden Fiction are small, bite-size stories. They can be as long as two pages or simply a sentence. They offer a taste, a feel, a character, a choice, a start, an end. What is Flash Fiction? In this introduction, we will look at the elements and arcs of these micro pieces and the wonderful worlds they create. A writer of short stories and essays, Julieanna Blackwell’s work has appeared in Lunch Ticket, Literary Orphans, Slippery Elm Literary Journal, MoonPark Review, and elsewhere. The Naples Daily News published her humorous column of personal essays. She was also the Flash Fiction editor for the award-winning 805Lit, the first literary journal published by a public library in the country. She developed and leads the Elements and Arcs series of writing classes and workshops, which are designed for adult and teen library patrons.
