Complete and totally disgusted. I am down at the hope chest thift store with a domestic violence client and victim with a voucher for clothes and household items and shes was denied so many items because they had a purple sticker and was to be sold for profit. But this is a no profit? I am so upset. She was denied a jacket, pillows, blankets and even a bra. How terrible. Not to mention the last at the counter was rude. Its. These are donated items for victims and these victims are told they can’t get them. Smh! Sick really
I happened to go to Hope Family Services when they 1st opened and all I can say is it really saved my life. I even had a place to stay for myself and two children for our safety. I felt frightened and alone. I quickly met so many others going through the same experience. Hiding, making excuses for mental and physical abuse. They provided classes of how to get out and not repeat the same ingrained bad relationships. Please if you need help, this is it!
