Sadly, this business is unethical and extremely rude. I made an appointment that I called and cancelled, then made another appointment several weeks later that unfortunately I was unable to make because I was flying home the day before and my flight was cancelled in Charlotte, NC by American Airlines and I was booked on another flight the following day. This caused me to miss my appointment and I called to explain, and sent an email. The company never responded to any of my correspondence and did not call me back or email. After a few days when I checked my bank account to pay bills I noticed that the company deducted $100.00 from my bank account. I had already paid $39.00 to make the appointment, but once I saw the $100.00 deducted I reached out to the company to find out why. I spoke with a woman who was so insanely rude I actually could not believe what I was hearing. I told her what had happened and she had so much disdain for me because I missed my appointment. I explained to her that I was fine with forfeiting the $39.00 by why would you charge me $100.00 that I never authorized. ON their website it states that during your first visit they will bill you $100.00 that will be used towards your clothing purchase. So I then asked when I can come to the store and use my $100.00 to purchase clothes and I was told that I was not welcome and that they do not want to do want me as a customer. Honestly, I was so upset and turned off I decided to submit a claim to my bank and dispute the charge. My bank immediately refunded me the money and said that if the company will not allow me to use the money they charged me to purchase the clothes that it states in their policies then they have not followed through on their agreement and I will get my money back. The bank also said that the company was unable to provide any proof of authorization to withdraw money from my account. They only had proof of being authorized to withdraw the initial $39.00 that I paid to make my initial appointment. The money issue is one thing but the rudeness of the two women I spoke with at Shop Jackie was offensive, condescending, and just plain gross for that reason alone I would want nothing to do with this company and I’m happy that I realized so quickly what unethical and terrible business practices this company is trying to get away with. Hopefully, as time goes on other customers will realize that you can easily purchase all the brands they carry for much less online and with much better return policies and much kinder customer service. It is only a matter of time that they will be out of business and hopefully spare other women from their wrath of meanness. Karma will get them!
Who knew we had a personal stylist and company that works like Stitch-Fix right in Bradenton?! This place is super cool. It’s a gorgeous location and they regularly host events here as well. Definitely check it out, you won’t be disappointed.
