We are in need of volunteers to fill our morning and evening feed and clean crew positions at our Myakka City sanctuary. Must be able to commit to 3-5 hours per visit. Volunteers will be responsible to Distribute food for multiple species of animals accurately, Replenish & clean water for animals, Muck Horse stalls, Remove fecal and urine matter from walkways and animal housing, General cleaning of walkways and pastures, Observe and report potential health or behavioral issues to owners. Other responsibilities as requested.
Must be capable of working outside doing strenuous tasks in Florida weather (rain or shine). Must be comfortable working alongside large animals such as horses, ponies and goats as well as small animals such as guinea pigs, variety of birds, and a variety of reptiles. Should be capable of bending and doing so repetitively and capable of lifting 20-40 pound items.
